Meet Our Acupuncturist
Michael Pomeroy, Licensed Acupuncturist
Michael Pomeroy attained his Diplomate in Acupuncture from the University of Bridgeport. In 3 years at the University of Bridgeport he received extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) where he received the Director's Award for outstanding clinical and academic achievement. Michael is also a Diplomate of Acupuncture awarded by the National Certificaion Commission for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (NCCACOM).
Michael has several years of rehabilitation experience as a physical therapist assistant working in a variety of clinical settings. It was through his work in rehabilitation that Michael was first introduced to the healing benefits of acupuncture on clients with symptoms of a chronic nature.
Since starting acupuncture Michael has been able to take both therapies and combine their benefits into one approach. The acupuncture treatments may consist of one or more of the following therapies to meet the client needs: acupuncture, tui na, gua sha, electrical stimulation and moxibustion.
